This morning Tim had to do some work at the Institute. When he came home he asked if I'd looked outside yet. It currently is difficult to do so because of all the snow on the sky lights, but I had been out on the balcony. And oh my! The Alps were out in full force!! Amazing! So we had lunch and went for a walk. I took a little video, but as always, it does not capture the beauty.

It was such a pretty and peaceful walk. Until some hooligan decided to sled down the hills on their back. How immature.

But it was too much fun! I had to climb back up the hill and go again :)

Oktoberfest

Here are a few of the video clips from Oktoberfest. They are not the best, but fun anyway (at least to me!)!

This clip shows how the people going on the ride get up to the level of the stairs. It looks like fun!

This is not a great clip, but it gives you an idea of the atmosphere and size of the tent.

The very end of the 'Ein Prosit' song. If you listen carefully you can hear me trying to get Tim's attention, as usual I have to say his name at least twice.

A little more of the song.

Savannah being spoiled

Yesterday (Saturday) Savannah was a queen of begging. She was meowing at us to give her some thing every time we turned around. Apparently, we were not giving her the right things though. She got fresh water in all of her bowls and multiple ice cubes. Though, she really does not seem all that interested in the ice, but we keep giving it to her because she used to like them! Finally I handed Tim the bag with her treats and she was finally happy. We like how she grabs Tim's arm to try to get the treat and you can see her use her front legs some times to help the food go in her mouth. We think it's cute, you may think we're losers...

People watching in Mainau

Carrie, Wolf and I recently went to Mainau. It's a small island with tons of flowers, a Schloss, a butterfly garden and an awesome playground. If it wasn't to busy that day I would have been playing. In the playground area there are these log rafts that these kids were playing on. It looks like a lot of fun, but it also looks like a recipe for disaster! After I finished recording this we were sitting in the sand box and Carrie noticed a soaking wet little boy crying while his mother and her friends undressed him and rung out his clothes. If you look closely in the video there's a boy in a green hooded sweatshirt on the furthest raft. I believe he is the boy who fell in. We later saw this.

Apparently, this is a regular occurrence.

Here are a few videos of Savannah's version of playing. While Tim's parents were visiting, we discovered that Savannah would play with her ball, if someone rolled it back and forth with her. Most of the time, she just likes to watch it roll.

More Fastnet/Carnival

When I put my clothes away yesterday, I must have forgotten to close the drawer. She spent several hours here.

Lighting the straw witch on fire. You can hear one of the songs they played. There must have been a few bands that took turns playing the same 2-3 songs over and over.

There it goes! And some more of the same song.

Greasy Thursday celebrations at the Mill. The brown people are wursts, it took us forever to figure out their costumes.

If this is the car I think it is, it was my favorite. The ski jump!

Am I seeing double?

Welcome to the Savannah Eats co-blog! Here we hope to share more photos and video of our adventures.

This is video from our trip to Munich in September. We went to meet up with our friends, Ben and Leanne. While walking in the English Gardens, we came across some surfers in the creek/very small river.

We hope to share more videos, for now, here's our first attempt!
